Taking your wedding on the road may seem like a daunting task – too expensive, too complicated, too exhausting. You may think the sunny shores of a tropical island or the breathtaking top of a mountain are just not in the cards for your wedding. But Anja Winikka, an editor at The Knot magazine, has some good news for all you Big Day big dreamers.
“Destination weddings can be as big or as over the top as you want them to be, just like here at home,” says Winikka. “A wedding away could be perfect for a couple wanting to return to a special vacation spot, for gathering a scattered family, or just a vacation for everyone.”
Of course, planning your nuptial escape may seem daunting. Thankfully, there’s “The Knot Guide to Destination Weddings,” a virtual wedding planner in a book. Got questions? The Knot tome has all the answers when it comes to getting hitched away from home.
