Live Maui Webcasts in Martha Stewart Weddings

Martha Stewart Weddings, December 2010

On May 1st of 2010 Live Maui Webcasts and Video provided a live internet wedding broadcast on the North Shore of Maui for April and Kerisimasi. We beamed it out all over the world with people watching in California to Europe and all the way down to Samoa, where the groom is from. We also produced their wedding DVD.

Later on that autumn, Martha Stewart Weddings and Dream Honeymoons would feature that very same wedding in their November Edition under REAL WEDDINGS. Touting the live webcast, the article mentions,

“One thing I learned: Live-webcast your wedding for the people who can’t make the trip. It’s a really thoughtful way to include them.”

We invite prospective brides and grooms to discover the lifetime of memories that can be shared at your Maui wedding with a live wedding internet broadcast.

Restaurant Recommendation: Flatbread in Paia

If you are heading through Paia on your vacation (or even if you haven’t planned on it), it’s worth stopping by some of the town’s restaurants. One of our favorites is FLATBREAD. It’s not appropriate for your Maui wedding night, however, on any other night, it’s a great choice. A lot of organic offerings, great atmosphere, great food, and just plain fun.

Marriage Jitters or Something Deeper?

The Today Show takes a look at a common occurrence with newlyweds. The video is not terribly insightful, but it does give you pause: is what I’m feeling right now just a passing fad does it contain a deeper truth?

Thank You Card Testimonial

I just opened an envelope written by a wedding couple for whom we did a live webcast and produced a DVD. The words from the Maui bride were very moving and they underscore why we do what we do and why we love working with great people!

The Famed Grand Wailea Wedding Chapel to Be Torn Down

RIP ye olde Grand Wailea Wedding Chapel

RIP ye olde Grand Wailea Wedding Chapel

Time marches on and nothing lasts for ever.

Not even the iconic Grand Wailea Wedding Chapel in which so many wedding couples have consecrated their marriage. In a move that would bolster the room number from the other already HUGE Grand (they must have over 800 rooms already) by and additional 310 units, the wedding chapel will be torn down and wedding ceremonies moved to the Luau grounds.

From a business perspective, it makes sense to start these renovations now, during the slow recessionary cycle, so that by the times vacation budget recover, they’ll be in full form with maximum, busting-at-the-seams capacity. Can you imagine over 1000 rooms??? Wow…

If approved, the project will start immediately and last for nearly 5 years. That will mean noise and possible inconvenience, but also perhaps some sweet deals as well for anyone who can handle the extra commotion.

If you planned your Maui wedding ceremony for the Chapel, check with your wedding coordinator to discuss alternate plans, should this renovation be confirmed and moving forward.

Coming to Maui and Love Tennis?

Are you coming to Maui to get married and you just happen to love tennis?

Along with several top notch tennis clubs for private lessons and clinics, Maui also has a great variety of municipal courts to play on for free!

Just bring your racket, some sneaks and your game.

The pictures below were taken in Wailuku at Wells park.

Other great courts are in Kahului at War Memorial Stadium and in Kihei at Maui Sunset condo. My favorite tennis club is in Makena.

What better way to get active after your wedding than to hit some balls with your new spouse!?!

Alooooha,
Stephan
